Dr. Irena Kell, Head of Studies

I like working with bilingual children. They are as unique as our experiences and methodology which started developing about 20 years ago, as Russian became a more global language when many Russians moved abroad and started teaching Russian to their children. Our experiences shows that we can give a lot to our bilingual pupils and achieve remarkable results if we apply our unique skills and work in partnership with their parents. The potential of bilingual children using teaching methods is enormous; we only have to uncover and make the most of it.

Education:
• Moscow Pedagogical University, Department of Foreign Languages. PHD.
• PGCE from Nottingham University, MFL, Great Britain.
• Taught Russian as a Foreign Language at a University in Russia.
• Currently employed as a Russian teacher in state and private schools in Cambridge.
• Senior examiner for GCSE and GCE Russian and an advisor to the Faculty of Education, Cambridge University.
